Professor Bracha Lichtenberg Ettinger, PhD, is one of the major international female artists of her generation. She is also a prominent philosopher and psychoanalyst (WAP, NLS, GIEP, TAICP), feminist theorist and writer. She is the “Marcel Duchamp” Chair and Professor of Art and Psychoanalysis at EGS University, Saas-Fee, and Distinguished Professor of Philosophy at the GCAS University, Dublin. Her books include: The Matrixial Gaze, The Matrixial Borderspace, and Matrixial Subjectivity, Aesthetics, Ethics (edited by G. Pollock). Bracha L. Ettinger’s art has been shown in major museums around the world, including the Drawing Center in NY, Stedelijk Museum in Ansterdam, Museums of modern art in Oxford, Helsinki, Warsaw, Torino and more. She participated at the Kochi-Muziris Biennale in India (2018) and the 14th Istanbul Biennial in Turkey (2015). Her recent shows include BRACHA's Notebooks (2021-2023) at the Castello di Rioli Museum in Italy. Her current solo exhibition takes place at Pompidou Centre in Paris (2024); her next solo show will take place at the K21 museum in Dusseldorf (2025).
