Abstract

This book was published by the Alumni Association to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Southern Illinois State Normal University. It is a good source of early university history including its founding, the burning of Old Normal, the university’s influence, biographical sketches on early university presidents, the Zetetic and Socratic literary societies, and early faculty.
