Abstract
The thesis investigates the history of cancer research, and in the various cancer therapies commonly applied. It also summarizes significant research milestones by the Hales Lab. The main focus of the research is to find a target molecule in the tumor microenvironment of ovarian cancer. To investigate that we look into the endocannabinoid system and as well as lysyl oxidase and investigate the role flax diet plays in modulating the expression of these receptors and enzyme. We find that there is no relationship between flax diet and lysyl oxidase and discuss what can be the potential targets.
