Abstract
In this work, we proposed a new approach for designing a multicasting protocol with reduced number of duplicate packets. The main feature of this protocol is that it reduces the number of duplicate packets which are generated while decreasing the number of extra (control) packets for multicasting. This ensures that our protocol uses better bandwidth utilization which is a requirement for multicasting.
