Abstract
Light You Cannot Yet See is a thoughtful, heartfelt collection of poetry rooted in place and community. The collection explores themes of mental health, home and belonging, community. It is also very curious how institutional systems impact these issues in everyday people; as such poems inside address education, religion, politics, and activism. A blend of meditative and narrative poetry, the poems span free verse, formal, and experimental poetic structures. Ultimately, the collection grows up alongside its speaker as she becomes an adult, leaves behind her home state Ohio, and finds herself and her community.
