ICarbS, named after the National Union Catalog symbol for Morris Library, Southern Illinois University Carbondale, was a journal published by the library in the 1970s and 1980s. Its purpose was to disseminate scholarship derived from the research collections in Morris Library, and to provide the Friends of Morris Library with evidence of the impact of their membership monies and gifts. The articles focus heavily on the library’s archival, manuscript, rare book, photograph, and map collections. The journal was edited by rare book librarian David V. Koch, archivist Kenneth W. Duckett, and humanities librarian Alan M. Cohn.
