Abstract
This article offers an analysis of the representation of technology using the methods of German cultural studies scholar, Friedrich Kittler. I apply his book, Gramophone Film Typewriter to three films: Florian von Donnersmarck's The Lives of Others, Morten Tyldum's The Imitation Game, and Frederick Wiseman's High School.
