About Institutional Repositories

Institutional Repositories bring together all of a University's research under one umbrella, with an aim to preserve and provide access to that research. Institutional Repositories are an excellent vehicle for working papers, copies of published articles, conference papers, and supporting material. Presentations, senior theses, and other works not published elsewhere can also be published in the Institutional Repository.

Institutional repositories are a part of the larger scholarly communication movement. For more information on institutional repositories see Institutional Repositories: Essential Infrastructure for Scholarship in the Digital Age, a report written for the Association of Research Libraries.
