Abstract

Online platforms such as Tinder, where one swipes through nearby potential partners until there’s a match, have completely taken over dating in the modern world. With its benefits and drawbacks, online dating has become more common over the years for users of all ages. Although many may focus on the negative sides of dating apps, there are plenty of positives that make the apps desirable to its users. The ability to find potential partners from one’s phone at any time while also determining what that relationship will entail before meeting face to face are both beneficial aspects of dating online. Online dating, while relatively new, continues to change dating as we know it and will adjust how people interact and form relationships, both platonically and romantically.
