Abstract

This examination of the legislative process will specifically deal with the role of the legislator, the nature of representation, and the legislator's relationship with constituents. By utilizing different readings and practical participation, the role constituents play in determining or affecting the decisions of the legislator and the legislator's political roles will be analyzed. Ultimately, a legislator faces a paradox in respect to the type of representative and political roles he or she chooses.
