Abstract
In this work, we have proposed an algorithm to implement the fair queuing idea using the sliding window approach in virtual circuits to transmit packets from the source to destination including the window size of the router. The advantage of this approach is that it also takes care of the packets which have been waiting in the queue since long time to reach the destination near or far by using the forward length concept. We have shown that the proposed approach offers better quality of service (QoS).
