Future of Civil Aviation in Africa
Abstract
Africa shows a strong and positive effort in developing its aviation industry. Aviation can strengthen the economy; however certain problems hindering development have to be addressed. This paper is a literary review of the current status of civil aviation in Africa, the issues hindering development of civil aviation, and some of the solutions, or reforms, needed to attain sustainable development in Africa's civil aviation industry. Majority of the sources and documents were obtained from non-governmental organizations. Reports, studies and journal articles were available through the Non-governmental organizations' websites. Air transport in Africa is facing many problems and challenges arising from under developed transportation infrastructure.
