This directory provides information on Southern Illinois restaurants, hotels, and motels that existed in 1950-1951. This directory was been prepared with the thought in mind of providing information which may assist in the development of Southern Illinois convention centers. In June 1950, it was decided that a directory of Southern Illinois restaurants, hotels, and motels was needed because of the lack of assembled information on these local business establishments.
