This book is an expanded version of David S. McIntosh's 1941 volume "Singing Games and Songs from Southern Illinois." At the time McIntosh was the Chairman of the Department of Music at Southern Illinois State Normal University. It provides a record of Southern Illinois folk music and the games that accompanied the songs. The book includes music, lyrics, and instructions for each game.
