Abstract
In this work, we have proposed a practical approach for broadcasting in wide area networks. It is a modification of a recently reported broadcast protocol, known as broadcasting using Pseudo-Diameter Based Pruning. The proposed modification offers much better network resource utilization since the number of duplicate packets generated is less than the previous approach
