Abstract
AN ABSTRACT OF THE THESIS OF Jonathon Robert Semanski, for the Master of Fine Arts degree in Theater, presented on December 3, 2014, at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. TITLE: THE TECHNICAL DIRECTION OF CLYBOURNE PARK MAJOR PROFESSOR: Thomas Fagerholm This document covers the process of technical direction for the Southern Illinois University Department of Theater production of Clybourne Park. The productions were held on the following dates: November 20 - 23, 2014. The first chapter details the original proposal of the project. The second chapter covers the design meetings and pre-production preparations. Chapter 3 goes through the entire build process and chapter covers the results of the realized production. The final chapter covers how I assessed my goals that I had stated in my proposal. Included in the Appendices are research images, charts, and draftings.
